Communications Leadership Development Program

CLDP is a challenging, rotational program focused on accelerated development of top potential communications and public relations talent, for the purpose of creating a pipeline for leadership roles across GE, one of the world's most admired companies.

If you would like to apply for CLDP, please check this site in August 2007. At that time, we will begin our recruiting process for the June 2008 start date of CLDP. The June 2007 CLDP Class has been filled. Thank you for your interest in GE's CLDP.

Program Summary

  • Three challenging eight-month rotations across GE's six businesses, Infrastructure, Industrial, Consumer Finance, Commercial Finance, Healthcare and NBC Universal
  • Rotations could include (but are not limited to) public relations, marketing communications, employee communications, and executive communications, among others
  • Leadership, communications and business-focused training
  • Extensive peer network

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of a four-year degree with communications-related course work
  • U.S.: GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the country you are applying.
  • Geographic mobility

Desired Characteristics

  • Major in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism,Liberal Arts, Marketing, or English
  • Strong business acumen
  • Leadership experience inside and outside of the classroom
  • Demonstrated examples of using an analytical approach to problem solving
  • A strong commitment to a career in Communications
  • Internship experience in the communications field
