Corporate Audit Staff

Regional Auditors are a part of the Corporate Audit Staff (CAS). CAS is a two-plus year audit and leadership program designed to expose high potential employees to intensive on-the-job development and to different businesses within GE. Regional Auditors focus on a particular region to gain depth and expertise.

Candidates are hired into the GE corporate offices of their home countries throughout the world. Significant travel is required but Regional Auditors can be based out of their home country.

Program Summary

Operate as part of a global team performing the following:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of GE business financial reporting, risk management, compliance and acquisition integrations/dispositions.
  • Proactively risk assess, plan, and execute audit deliverables with your direct manager.
  • Communicate audit results and recommendations to senior CAS and GE business management. Generate and drive improvement efforts.
  • Support critical company initiatives such as simplification, controllership, and growth
  • Develop world-class communication, leadership, Six Sigma, financial and controllership skill sets.

  • Minimum requirements:

    • Willingness to travel 100% of the time with little advance notice
    • 3-6 years work experience or at least 2 years GE experience
    • Project management experience (i.e., leading or working in groups with a shared goal)
    • Experience working in teams
    • English fluency (read, write, speak)
    • Internal GE candidates will be required to get sponsorship via 4-6 positive manager recommendations from GE managers, including the business CFO (for additional information, see audit.ge.com)

    Desired Characteristics

    • Post-secondary/college degree or equivalent (i.e., post high school) with strong academic record (demonstrated success in a learning environment); accepting accounting, finance, business, math, liberal arts, engineering, etc
    • Chartered accountant or equivalent certification
    • Strong analytical skills, quantitative and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, verbal, and written with the goal of influencing outcomes
    • Independent and proactive execution
    • Ability to work with high level concepts
    • Attention to detail
    • Any GE Leadership Program graduates: i.e., FMP, HRLP, IMLP, EEDP, OMLP, JOLP, CLP, etc
    • Green Belt certified
