Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP) - Sales & Marketing

The Experienced Commercial Leadership Program accelerates the development of commercial-savvy talent through a structured program combining coursework, job assignments and interactive seminars.

Candidates are hired into one of three major GE Commercial Segments: Finance, Industrial and Consumer, or Technology. ECLP graduates will be considered for key commercial leadership positions in GE.

ECLP hires globally in the following regions: US, Europe, China, Japan.

Applications to the ECLP for the EMEA region in 2006 are no longer being accepted. The site will re-open in October 2006 for 2007.

ECLP Overview

Program Summary
  • ECLP consists of 4 six-month, cross-business rotations within a Commercial Segment.
  • Program members rotate between 2-3 different GE Businesses within a given segment.
  • Two rotations are Marketing focused and two are Sales.
  • Program participants strengthen their commercial, business and leadership skills by completing an intensive curriculum consisting of: classroom and online training, in-residence symposiums at the John F. Welch Learning Center.
U.S. Minimum Candidate Qualifications
  • M.B.A with 2-5 years of marketing or sales experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years marketing or sales experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills
  • Geographic mobility is required
  • Unrestricted Work Authorization
